How We Rate
Every brand on Casines is put through the same structured review so our scores mean the same thing from one casino to the next. Here is exactly how we evaluate an online casino.
Our scoring scale
Each casino receives an overall score from 1 to 10. That number is a weighted average of seven categories — it is not a marketing badge, and a brand can lose points at any time if standards slip. As a guide:
- 9.0–10 — Exceptional. Strong licence, fast payouts, fair terms.
- 7.5–8.9 — Very good. Recommended with only minor drawbacks.
- 6.0–7.4 — Decent, but with clear compromises to be aware of.
- Below 6.0 — Proceed with caution; notable weaknesses.
What we score, and how much it counts
The overall score is weighted so that the things that protect your money and your rights count the most:

How we test each area
- Licensing first. We confirm the licence with the regulator and note whether it protects players in your country. Read Casino licenses explained.
- Real deposits and withdrawals. Wherever possible we fund an account, play, and request a payout to time the cashier and check the KYC process.
- The small print. We read the bonus terms in full — wagering multipliers, maximum bet, game weighting and expiry — and score the real value, not the headline number.
- Support under pressure. We ask support genuine questions at different times of day and judge the speed and usefulness of the replies.
- Hands-on play. We test the games, the mobile experience and the sign-up/login flow on real devices.
Player ratings
Alongside our editorial score, registered players rate each casino on overall experience, support, games, payments and withdrawals. Both scores are shown on every review so you can weigh our testing against the wider community. Helpful reviewers earn karma and reviewer tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum — and each reviewer’s "found useful" rating shows how other players value their feedback.
We keep scores current
A review is not a one-off. We re-check brands as terms, ownership, payout performance and player feedback change, and adjust the score accordingly. Follow a casino to be notified by email when its rating changes, when it launches, or when new reviews are posted.
